[edit] Fictional biography

[edit] Lineage

Olympian’s father stated that their family line can be traced back to those who sailed on Troy, meaning the Trojan War. During the last 3000 plus years his family has had several heroes. The Fourakis family is proud of their warrior heritage and many members served during the Coalition's War. Olympian’s older brother, Achilles, is the leader of the Athens team. Olympian’s father is the protector of the island of Crete and the patriarch of the family. When trouble starts in ‘History Begins,’ the Fourakis family is the first to offer up dozens of volunteers to help the Heroes Union.

[edit] Pre-Alpha

Olympian grew up in a superhero family and was taught how to use his powers on the family farm. He is very aware of how to fly into populated areas and not be seen landing. During his childhood he would often fly underwater and go fishing for his mother, whom he is very respectful of, although, at times he can be somewhat a bully and intimidate others. Being the younger brother of the three toughest boys on the Island, he learned quickly to assert himself. Olympian is a superhero fan, long before his invitation to Alpha. His family collects articles on superheroes, like sports fanatics. Olympian can rattle off statistics about other superheroes by heart.

[edit] Alpha

At Alpha, Olympian was selected to be the hitter for 1st team. Despite his being the archetype superhero, Olympian had many difficulties fitting in at Alpha. Olympian had never been pushed academically nor had he ever had to work with a group that wasn’t his family.

Coach Connors had to counsel Olympian on his behavior and his studies more than once after he started his training at Alpha. His exceptional powers, at a young age, contributed to his exceptional ego. During the first few months at Alpha, Olympian shed most of his ego and a few abrasive tendencies around his teammates.

Olympian was instrumental in starting Coach Connors’ daily hand to hand combat course. He practically begged his coach for extra training, with the goal of being second to none in fighting.

Olympian is an asset to his team that can be counted on time and again. During the matches and in the downtime, his behavior is predictable and his want to be a superhero is unquestioned. While Olympian may not have the level head some of the others have, he more than makes up for it by struggling to be the ultimate hitter.

[edit] Team

Olympian is the hitter of 1st team, the 4th team trained by coach Connors and the 10th class to be trained at Alpha Academy. As is with every team, he has five other teammates, each having their own positions. 1st team is organized as follows.

[edit] Appearance

Olympian is a Caucasian boy 13 years of Greek decent. He stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and has a muscular build. His father and brothers are all described as being built like superheroes and being about six and a half feet tall, his mother is his height now. Olympian is on track to end up the same size as his older brothers. He has short/medium length dark hair and dark eyes. Olympian has been described as looking perfect in everyway.

[edit] Costume

Olympian wears shinny black full armor that covers him from neck to toe. Even though it covers him fully, it has a distinctive ancient Greek look. Larger shin guards, thick boots, abdominals chiseled into the stomach, and a large bright red cape help with the Greek motif. The backs of his hands have plates as well as over his knuckles. The armor is the strongest Omnium with writing on the shoulder plates and forearms. The Greek script reads, ‘Strength, Honor, Duty, and Family.’

The armor itself is equipped with much of the same gadgets and technology that the rest of his team has. Olympian uses little of it, except for the flight navigation system which he uses often.

Olympian has an offensive weapon of choice, his heavy ‘chopper.’ The chopper has gone through several versions and may continue to do so. The one he has now is of compressed Omnium matter, weighing just over 1000 tons. The sheath on his back has a special antigravity device that allows him to walk indoors with it on. The chopper’s blade is over 4 feet long with a spiked hand guard for a single hand to wield. The blade is six inches in depth and a full inch thick. His cape was specially designed to allow an overhand draw from the back. Olympian uses an Omnium chain as a wrist strap to keep the chopper attached during combat. Even with rigorous use, Olympian has not been able to dull the shaper than razor edge.

A shield and helmet were added to his costume for specific battles. The shield is a large circular hoplite style piece of Omnium with a sharp outer edge. On the outer face of the shield is a Greek warrior with the Greek script, ‘God of War.’ The helmet is a black shinny version of an ancient Greek design to match the rest of his costume, complete with a raised ridge down the center.

[edit] Powers

Olympian is one of the most powerful to ever be recruited to Alpha. His strongest power is his invulnerability. He is the first young super to arrive at Alpha with a durably rating that breaks over one billion. Meaning his body can take over a billion times the damage a normal young athlete his size and age could take. Near the end of the story Olympian is rated at four billion. At an unknown distance in space, Olympian survived a nuclear blast with only blisters and missing hair to show for it. Along with his invulnerability comes a unquantified pain tolerance, after the nuclear explosion Olympian kept to the mission and never complained of his injuries.

Olympian’s other physical gifts are just as apparent as his invulnerability. Olympian’s strength, endurance, speed, and agility are all superhuman. At Alpha his speed has tested as high as 20 norms (20 times the normal for a person of his age, build, and training.) His endurance is considered unlimited because there is no physical activity that can tire him. That does not mean that Olympian does not sleep or eat. Olympian’s agility is exceptional for a hitter, testing up at 12 norms.

Strength is the one gift that hitters must have and Olympian has no shortage of it. Olympian’s highest recorded overhead lift at Alpha was 215,000 tons (about two air craft carriers). This puts him in the running for one of the strongest to ever attend Alpha. His strength dwarfs most adult hitters that are presently superheroes or hitters on organized teams.

Olympian can fly and won a flying competition upon arriving at Alpha. His acceleration and top speed prevailed over the more maneuverable flyers. Olympian is a natural flyer and does so without thought. Acceleration for him is simply a matter of thought and will, giving him an almost instant movement. His top speed was put to the test in space where he fought to show his top speed. At half the speed of light a field started to develop around his body that allowed him to go even faster, up to 12 times the speed of light.

In space and underwater, Olympian has shown he can survive without oxygen for extended periods of time. It is not known how long he can do this, but has demonstrated half a day underwater.

[edit] Combat Style

Olympian is a combat machine. Virtuoso once commented that in Olympian’s mind, he never believes he will lose or fail. At Alpha Olympian has had a string of victories in combat. His abundant physical gift, his willingness to fight, and his confidence in himself make him a formidable foe to face.

In group combat Olympian is the first to face the opposing team, flying straight in for an all out assault. In superhero combat an attack that breaks the others balance or stride, is called a ‘crush.’ Olympian has called himself the ‘crush’ when two teams clash. He is first in attacking violently with his chopper. The other team is always hard pressed to recover from him attacking.

During real life and death combat, Olympian is able to summon tremendous amounts of adrenaline that even further his resolve and combat fury. The coaches at Alpha are very impressed with his prowess, as or other supers in the field. After a display of his abilities, other supers talk about graduating him early just to tap his abilities; though no one approached Coach Connors with this notion.
