Saber is a fictional character and superhero in Joe Graham's Omni series. He is currently the Leader for 8th team at the Alpha Academy. His first appearance is in ‘Omni – History Begins.’ His secret identity has not been revealed. Saber is a citizen of the United Arab Emirates(UAE) and lived in Dubai prior to being invited to alpha.

[edit] Lineage
Saber is an identical twin with his brother Zayed. Saber's father is a wealthy executive architect in charge of many important projects in Dubai. It is assumed that his mother stays in one of their homes, one of which is in the city and the other being on the coastline.
[edit] Pre-Alpha
Invitations to alpha were sent to six different families in varying countries in the Middle East in an effort to build a future team for that area. When an invitation was sent to Saber's family his father had Saber and Zayed fight to decide who would attend. The winner of the fight would stay with the family while the loser would go to alpha. Saber lost the fight to his more powerful brother and was then sent to alpha.

At Alpha, Saber was selected to be the leader for 8th team. Being the leader of 8th team was not easy, mainly because the other members of his team would conflict with each other. The interpersonal problems between his teammates caused most of alpha to look down on them.
Saber has shown to be very wise in what he says and with his decisions. He is one of the more powerful members of his team and is always trying to do his best even against impossible odds.
[edit] Death
Saber was killed during the raid on Vector's base in northern Africa. He was assigned the task of defending the raiding party from flying fighter drones armed with an arrangement of weaponry. While doing this, one of his teammates, Shroud, stopped two villains from ambushing Saber with missile launchers. Shroud was able to kill the weaker villain but was chased by the more powerful one. Saber followed them and eventually caught up with the pair. He was able to defeat the villain but died soon afterward from internal hemorrhaging.

Saber is the Leader of 8th team, and the 10th class to be trained at Alpha Academy. As is with every team, he has five other teammates, each having their own positions. 8th team is organized as follows.
[edit] Appearance
Saber is a 15 year old boy of Arabic decent. He stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs around 140 pounds, and has an athletic build. He has brown eyes and medium length black hair.
[edit] Costume
Saber's costume is made of tight-fitting, reactive nano-mail that is pure white. He has hard, protective plates of Omnium on his forearms, shins, collarbone, shoulders, spine, and kidneys. They are deep green in color and outlined in black. Over top of his suit he wears a white nano-mail tunic, outlined in red, that covers his chest, back, shoulders, it is tucked in at the belt, and continues down to just above his knees. On his chest is a pair of red Arabian sabers. The plates on his arms and legs have an old world look despite the color. The plates on his arms also have golden Arabic script that reads ‘Let no man be too strong or proud to submit to God.’ on his left and ‘May God bless the sword of the faithful and guide his blade.’ on his right. In the back of his costume is also a large hood that when pulled over, seals the costume and contains a re-breather able to last a normal human three hours. When in this state he is able to travel to extreme depths in water, survive the vacuum of space, and is temperature, chemical, biohazard, and radiation resistant.
His costume comes equipped with high voltage stun gloves, a cutting laser, nano rope, blades, lock picks, throw cameras and sensors, mini flash grenades, silent neck microphone, internal earpiece, flashlights, tracers, darts, and other secret compartments, as well. Most of his field gear is stored in pockets along his belt.

Saber's main powers are flight and the ability to project cutting energy. When used, his cutting power resembles a golden crescent moon or a saber of varying sizes. This energy is able to cut at a molecular level and travels extremely fast. He has shown exceptional skill and accuracy at firing his sabers even while flying.
Physically, Saber is superior to a regular human in every way, and is decently combat sturdy compared to some of his fellow Alphas. He has demonstrated a maximum lift of just over 16 tons. Saber enjoys superhuman endurance and agility. His speed has been measured at up to 14 times that of a normal person his age. Saber has shown a superhuman durability that outshines the rest of his physical traits.
[edit] Combat Style
Saber has shown to be extremely aggressive while fighting. He has promised himself to never back down to a fight and is willing to go up against anyone even those larger and more powerful than himself. While fighting he tends to take to the air and fire barrages of cutting energy at his opponent. Saber has also been trained slightly in hand-to-hand combat incase he is ever in a situation where either he is unable to use his powers or they are ineffective.
